Manifestation is about aligning with the energy of what you desire. By focusing on what abundance and greatness you already have in your life and really feeling and showing gratitude for it, you can create the perfect foundation for attracting more abundance into your life. But why is gratitude so powerful, and how can you use it to supercharge your manifestations?
Lets dive in,
- Gratitude raises your vibration, manifestation works with energy and vibration and gratitude is one of the highest vibrational emotions, aligning with you positive energy.
- When you are grateful for what you already have, you start to focus on abundance and not lack, you start to find the beauty in every day which can magnetise more of what you desire.
- By Appreciating what you already have in and around your world, you send a signal to the universe what you are ready to receive more.
"Gratitude is the ultimate state of receivership. It creates the emotional signature that the future you desire is already present." - Dr. Joe Dispenza
The science behind gratitude and manifestation
- Gratitude activates the brains reward centers, this releases feel good chemicals like dopamine and serotonin. These chemicals reinforce positive thinking.
- Gratitude trains your brain to notice opportunities and abundance, making it easier to manifest your goals. The Reticular Activating System (RAS)
How to practice gratitude in your manifestation journey
- Gratitude journaling, what are you grateful for? really go into detail, instead of writing 'I am grateful for the cup of tea I had this morning' go into more detail 'I am so grateful for the hot cup of tea that my husband brought to bed to me this morning made just the way I like it, it really allowed me to take a moment and settle into the morning before starting my day'
- Feel your gratitude journaling, don't just write down what you are grateful for mindfully, allow space and time for you to write and feel your gratitude list, don't rush it.
Gratitude journaling daily builds a habit to focus on abundance rather than lack.
- Gratitude meditations, dedicate time daily 5-10 minutes to visualise feeling gratitude for your current blessings and the ones coming your way, below are a few links of the guided meditation that I like to use.

Future Gratitude, thank the universe as if your desires are already in your reality. Example 'I am so grateful for the dream career I get to do every day'. This aligns your energy with already having what you desire, a key manifestation principle.
Show and express gratitude for others, thank someone in your life for their kindness or their support in what they do for you, even if its some as small as brining you a cup of tea over to your desk every morning. This creates a ripple effect, this person will then go on to show kindness to the next person and so on. It also strengthens relationships.
Common blocks to gratitude and tips on how to overcome them
If you are feeling stuck in negativity, try to find the beauty in the small things that occur every day to start. Example, the hot cup of tea you get to wake up to every morning, the warm home you get to call yours and live in, the kind lady at the corner shop that smiles and asks how your day is every single day, your friend who calls or texts to check in on you every single day, your dog who admires you and you are their whole world. There is beauty in everything we do, if you start to focus on the small things around you that are so beautiful and bring you joy but can sometimes be overlooked, you will notice more to be grateful for.
If you feel you are stuck in a feeling of lack, remember that every challenge an obstacle that you face, every step is creating a more mindful, kinder, stronger and wiser version of you and each step is taking you on the journey of where you want to be, remember, that was if meant for you, will come for you. Embrace every challenge as a lesson, reflection can help you to see the lessons during the challenge and help us grow.
My own story on gratitude
I remember a time in my previous job when I felt completely stuck in a mindset of lack. We often had to work late shifts, working until 10:30 PM or later. As someone who values family time, these hours were a constant struggle for me, leaving me feeling stagnant and low. I longed for a job with more sociable hours but felt trapped in my circumstances.
After a year or two of feeling this way, I discovered the power of gratitude, and everything started to change. Instead of focusing on what I didn’t like, I began to appreciate the positives in my current role. I made the most of my hours at work, going above and beyond in my tasks, and acting as if I was already in a role with the hours I loved. By shifting my mindset and pouring my energy into doing my best, I found the days started to fly by.
This shift not only helped me feel better, but it also had a noticeable impact on my department. The results of my efforts shone through the team’s performance and the numbers we achieved, I was so grateful for what we had achieved together as a team and for the position I was in, in my role. Over time, I even forgot how much I’d been longing for a different job.
Then, one day during a 4 AM stock count, an opportunity presented itself, a role became available that had everything I’d asked for: better hours, a fresh environment, and the change I’d been longing for. I knew I was ready because I’d been taking aligned action to better myself, such as improving my skills and staying organized. This allowed me to go through the process and eventually getting the role. The aligned action and work put in paid off.
The power of gratitude was the key. It not only transformed how I felt about my situation but also helped me manifest the job I had been dreaming of.
Gratitude is more than just a feel-good practice, it’s an energetic foundation to help bring your dreams to life. By shifting your focus to the abundance you already have, you signal to the universe that you’re ready to receive even more. So, start your day with gratitude, end it with appreciation, and watch as your manifestations start to come into reality.
I hope this story has inspired you and encouraged you to reconnect with the transformative power of gratitude in your own life. Let this be a reminder that even the smallest mindset shifts can lead to incredible changes.
